The more people who are involved, the better the eventual Plan!<\/p>\n

If the Decision Group is close to deciding to start a Place Plan, it is really important to share the idea, the issues and so forth with as many as possible in your local community and seek their views.<\/p>\n

You will know best how to do that in your specific circumstances; it could be via local newsletters and existing groups, the local school \u2026. or the chapel \u2026. or the village pub.<\/p>\n

And what if you decide to do a Place Plan? <\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>The decision to prepare a Place Plan must be made by full Council* and, if that decision is to proceed and is properly recorded, send your local authority a copy of the record. (* If yours is a community or residents\u2019 group you will need some level of formal structure, notes of minutes etc. Your authority will advise on this.)<\/p>\n

Get back in touch with the officer you contacted as part of your decision making process and let them you are going ahead. It will be important to engage with the Local Authority as you go forward, and to draw on as much support and input as they can offer.
