Step1 – Who and how to decide?

The decision to prepare a Place Plan must eventually be made and formally recorded by your group. To get to that point it is best to set up a small group of people to work on the aspects that follow. That might be 3, 4, 5 people and, if you have a Town or Community Council in your area, it could be useful to have at least one Councillor involved (but probably not all 3/4/5 as Councillors!).

The tasks for this small ‘Decision Group’ are to manage the listing of key issues (Step 2) and the audit of potentially available resources (Step 3), including meeting with people in your local authority (Step 4). We have produced Decision Worksheets that contain forms to help with these tasks so now move on to Step 2.
